The Washington Downtown Development Authority is recognized by the State of Georgia as a Main Street Classic Community and is certified as a National Main Street Classic Community by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Our mission is to increase quality development by driving economic growth while redefining the role of downtown as a crucial element in the continuing health and growth of the broader community.
We actively engage in efforts to promote and revitalize the central commercial district. The DDA works closely with the city, local merchants, and the community to create a dynamic downtown.
The Washington Main Street staff is happy to assist prospective, new, and existing businesses within the downtown district with navigating the process of starting a new business or growing an existing one!
